Introduction: Ethanol ablation (EA) of “persistent or recurrent” neck nodal metastases (NNM) in adult papillary thyroid carcinoma (APTC) patients was first introduced in 1993 to clinical endocrine oncologic practice (JCEM 2011;96: 2717).
